World leaders legacy
White Flag has taken on the most demanding initiative in environmental history, dealing with 70% of the plastic that is currently lying on the seabeds of oceans, lakes and rivers spread across continents. There is no such thing as a machine that is able to pick up the plastic and marine debris off the sea bottom which has one of the most fragile ecosystems known to man. It needs to be done by the human hand with care, by divers in an unknown surrounding, because human body is weightless, sensitive to temperature, currents, bad visibility, cold water depth, and in unfriendly environments that can harm the human being. This is just a small fracture of components a diver is concerned with when extracting the plastic from the ocean which is one of the reasons why it is so hard to deal with this specific problem. WhiteFlag International has created a system that can work globally at the same time but in order to achieve this we need our leaders to set an example and lead us in the right directions, in directions that represent concrete solutions. Once most of the countries implement this method of ocean protection, preservation and cleaning, we can ensure the ocean’s suitability and planet’s future.
Raising the flag for the ocean is taking a stand, making clear what is needed to protect the ocean. Raising the flag is world leaders’ legacy to mankind.
